<p><strong>Ikat Dishtowels</strong> &#8211; from <a href="http://www.crateandbarrel.com/kitchen-and-food/dishtowels/ikat-green-dishtowel/s140808">Crate &amp; Barrel</a>, these dishtowels would go great with my all-white kitchen and its bits of bright color. Knowing C&amp;B though, I&#8217;ll be waiting until these go on final clearance before buying!</p>
<p><a href="http://gowanusfurniture.com/cutting-boards/" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-859" title="Morse Code Cutting Board" src="http://achefsdaughter.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/morse-code-board.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="337" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Morse Code Cutting Boards</strong> &#8211; Wow. Randomly came across these <a href="http://gowanusfurniture.com/cutting-boards/">handmade solid-wood cutting boards</a> and just about swooned. A guy in Brooklyn makes these custom &#8220;monogrammed&#8221; boards in two shades of wood. The stripes are a visual representation of morse code. So simple, so stunning. Would make a wonderful heirloom wedding present for sure!</p>
<p><span id="more-804"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Y3AZSM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-pic-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399349&amp;creativeASIN=B003Y3AZSM" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-862" title="Joseph Joseph Garlic Rocker" src="http://achefsdaughter.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Screen-shot-2011-04-22-at-9.18.48-AM.png" alt="" width="294" height="226" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Joseph Joseph Garlic Rocker</strong> &#8211; Found this in the latest issue of Real Simple and its brilliant simplicity drew me in immediately. You use this <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Y3AZSM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-top-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399349&amp;creativeASIN=B003Y3AZSM" target="_blank">garlic press &#8220;rocker&#8221;</a> to mince garlic instead of a traditional press! I may buy this just to see how it compares with my favorite garlic press . . .</p>
<p><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003P63MEW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-pic-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399349&amp;creativeASIN=B003P63MEW" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-864" title="Thermapen thermometer" src="http://achefsdaughter.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Screen-shot-2011-04-22-at-9.42.39-AM.png" alt="" width="266" height="283" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Thermapen Thermometer</strong> &#8211; This is hardly new, but I came across it again recently and remembered that it&#8217;s on my eventual to-buy list. A nearly <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003P63MEW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-top-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399349&amp;creativeASIN=B003P63MEW" target="_blank">$100 thermometer</a> might seem a bit ridiculous, but I&#8217;ve heard only rave reviews about it and have had enough bad thermometers in the past that it makes this one seem like a good investment.</p>
<p>If you have it, tell me: should this be my next kitchen purchase?</p>

<p class="wp-caption-text">Bakeware you can stack in the oven!</p>

<p><strong>Menu Stackable Oven Dishes</strong> &#8211; Saw this on <a href="http://tastingtable.com/entry_detail/national/2534/Modern_and_multipurpose_cookware_declutters_your_kitchen.htm">Tasting Table</a>, very cool! It&#8217;s especially perfect for NYC apartments with 3/4 size ovens . . .</p>
<p><span id="more-774"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.bttrventures.com/Easy-to-Grow-Mushroom-Garden_p_8.html"><img class="size-full wp-image-776 alignnone" title="Grow mushrooms on your windowsill" src="http://knitspiring.com/acdr/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Screen-shot-2011-01-31-at-12.50.19-PM.png" alt="" width="208" height="210" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Windowsill Mushroom Garden</strong> &#8211; Also found through <a href="http://tastingtable.com/TheDinnerTable/entry_detail/national/2617/Drink_coffee_eat_mushrooms.htm">Tasting Table</a> (where they have a 20% off coupon!), this &#8220;mushroom garden&#8221; grows oyster mushrooms from used coffee grounds and needs only a spritz of water! I already ordered mine and cannot wait for my first harvest.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/microplane-herb-mill/"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-778" title="Microplane Herb Mill" src="http://knitspiring.com/acdr/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/microplane-mill.jpg" alt="" width="301" height="324" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Microplane Twist Herb Mill</strong> &#8211; came across this <a href="http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/microplane-herb-mill/">herb mill</a> in March&#8217;s Real Simple magazine. It looks pretty great but I&#8217;m wondering how much of a pain it is to clean it?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UUU5TE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-pic-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B002UUU5TE"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-791" title="Island Bamboo Cutting Board with Drainer" src="http://knitspiring.com/acdr/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/drainer.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="176" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Island Bamboo Cutting Board/Drainer</strong> -Also from <a href="http://www.realsimple.com/">Real Simple</a> magazine, this board&#8217;s design drew me in even before I realized what a cool idea this is. A <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UUU5TE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-top-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B002UUU5TE">cutting board with a built-in drainer</a> is pretty cool already, but a <em>collapsible </em>drainer so that you can store it flat? Brilliant! This is going on my must-buy list for sure.</p>

<p><strong>Michael Aram Pomegranate Seder Plate</strong> &#8211; Saw this in this month&#8217;s Bon Appetit magazine and immediately fell in love. Unfortunately by the time I went to check it out, it was already <a href="http://www.michaelaram.com/nsite/iteminfo.aspx?hdid=112261&amp;cid=Search&amp;stext=seder#">sold out on his site</a>. I did find it at <a href="http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=127815&amp;CategoryID=3865&amp;cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Womens-_-TRAYS_PLATTERS-_-Pomegranate_Seder_Plate_by_Michael_Aram&amp;utm_source=GoogleProduct&amp;utm_medium=organic">Bloomingdales for $220</a> though, and there&#8217;s still time to buy it before the first night of passover . . .</p>
<p><span id="more-705"></span><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F0RULQ?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=p-pic-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B001F0RULQ"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-712" title="Joseph Joseph set" src="http://knitspiring.com/acdr/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/josephjosephbowls.jpg" alt="" width="301" height="223" /></a></p>

In my new, ultra-modern place with its all-white kitchen, this set is perfect! And so gorgeous it serves double-duty as decoration when not in use. At just over $48 on Amazon, a great deal for so many stylish pieces.</p>
<p><a href="http://knitspiring.com/acdr/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/blackandwhite.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-714" title="Black and white towels" src="http://knitspiring.com/acdr/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/blackandwhite.jpg" alt="" width="402" height="265" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Black and white kitchen diagram towels </strong>- Another Etsy find, <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=42411051">these handprinted towels</a> feature some of my favorite kitchen gadgets and my beloved Kitchenaid! The black and white sketch makes them modern enough for my new place. Set of 2 for $20.</p>

<p><strong>And speaking of Kimchi, I&#8217;m dying to try making my own.</strong> My blogging buddy <a href="http://closetcooking.blogspot.com/">Kevin of Closet Cooking</a> has tried it with good results, so I&#8217;m planning to use <a href="http://closetcooking.blogspot.com/2008/03/kimchi.html">his simple recipe</a> for my first try. My BFF, who happens to be Korean, will be the true judge of this endeavor!</p>
